Internal Erosion Stabilization of Cohesionless Soil Using Lime

Soil embankments are valuable for the adequate reserve and supply of water to multiple industries. However, they susceptible internal soil erosion, which may ultimately lead structural collapse. To counteract this issue, stabilization is practiced in construction industry. This paper proposes erosion cohesionless using quicklime. For research, two types were investigated treated with quicklime: poorly graded well-graded soils. soil, lime percentage varied from 0.0% 6.0% based on soil’s weight, while it ranged 3.0%. All specimens cured 24 h tested hole test (HET) replicate effortlessly. The analyzed results demonstrated efficiency quicklime as an stabilizer optimum content soils was 5.0%; well-graded, approximately Moreover, adding significantly improved strength, critical shear stress, rate index soil.
